The latter is basically made for transitioning into FSC if you're a gunner.ĭepending on loadout - I'd be tempted by split Shade/Chaos as a gunner.
#Spiral knights best armor full
Gunslinger: while Shadowsun offers Shadow defence and handgun damage, I'd recommend one of the Shade sets instead - the right full set will give you +2 to each of ASI, CTR, and damage (handguns only), fire resistance and shadow defence. Reasonable first pick for a sword user, and Ash Tail helps the grind a bit. Fire resistance, no stun weakness makes it decent for Vana. Vog: for swords only, it offers ASI - the safest of buffs, because you can use your shield / various knockback sources / mid-combo switches and interrupts / swords' last-hit stagger much more safely, even aggressively, than before. Between these I wouldn't recommend full Chaos as a first set, although it is excellent in both hybrid and focused builds. Which to pick? -Ĭhaos: the status weaknesses will get you killed, but very large universal buffs make it usable anywhere - most viable when you barely get hit at all, which is to say super late-game. and they're all good sets because both damage type and status resistances are very helpful. These are all good sets, for different reasons. Sacred Firefly for Vana (the negative fire from Chaos is negated by Firefly). My personal use: Chaos Cowl+whatever defence i need, e.g. Piercing - Skolver for freeze, but then you preety much have to go trough each individual status armor from gunslinger armors. Or, if you want a fast sword action, Vog Cub. Since none of them protect from shock, if you have problem with this status, make a 3rd one (Sacred Falcon line).įor Elemental, the Grey Feather is a good choice, supplemented by Sacred Grizzly Sentinel/Keeper/Wrath against freeze (good against Silversaps). To fill it up, pick up Sacred Firefly Shade/Hex/Ghost for Vana/fire levels. For example, you can pick Divine Veil for Fiend bonus Medium with Sacred Firefly Hex and have good shadow defence wihs some elemental on top of this.įor Shadow, the Dread Skelly is good overall, since it protects from freeze. You can always mix them together, like Chaos for helmet and defence for armor (that's what i use), or two shadow pieces with different status resistances. If you need defence, then I would suggest few sets or armors. If you want to go full offence, then I'm afraid the Kat and Chaos rule the area, but for swordsmen Skolver and Vog are a good choise too. Having +dmg very high typically lets you kill gun puppies with a single brandish 3 hit combo, just as one example of many.įrom my experience there is no best armor for everything. Some people like the old school Divine Veil + Skolver combo, but I honestly feel like it’s a case of more damage is better. Owlite is also a phenomenal defensive shield to look into, and one I wouldn’t overlook it’s bulky and helps against the slew of elemental damage thrown at you in lategame. Swiftstrike buckler is a nice 3* option that gives a huge attack speed steroid to everything but if you want to actually use your shield a lot it may not be the best option for you. As such, I personally wouldn’t recommend the gunslinger set unless you’re dealing with serious latency issues.ĭepending on what armor set you opt into, I’d strongly recommend looking into getting the snarbolax shield - It’s got +dmg for swords, which can help cut off some of the trade offs of running Vog Cub. Swords typically are typically better than guns because brandishes are broken, and sword damage amp is likewise very strong. Skolver set is actually pretty good as well - worse than Vog Cub for vana, but still good overall. Vog Cub works well as a sword dps set that still keeps you pretty comfy.

Obviously Chaos is S tier, as you see in the replies, but outside of that there are still good options.
